Marvellous Creatures at the MIA

“The Three Fishes” (Kalila wa Dimna)

Collaborating for a Grand Experience

To see my desk-sized illustrations converted into massive wall art in this encompassing exhibition was such a privilege. The little scribble above was done during one of the meetings with the diverse and talented team that made the exhibition come to life. The Museum of Islamic Art’s  Marvellous Creatures broke their visitor record with 84 000 visitors.

“Sam, Zal, and the Simurgh” (Shahnameh)

“This exhibition focused on the real and mythical animals that appear in the legends, tales, and fables of the Islamic world. Divided into the natural quadrants of earth, air, fire, and water, these marvellous creatures introduce timeless stories such as the well-known and beloved classics: Shahnameh, Kalila wa Dimna and 1001 Nights.” Link to MIA
