This bespoke project fully put my philosophy of art education into action. What I didn’t expect was how much the students and the partnership with Qatar Museums Family & Schools Programme would propel this shared vision further than I expected.
The Year 4 student at Doha College let their creative energy be vulnerable to possibilities and risks. Most valuable was not the large final artwork, but their reflections on the creative process along the way.
I was given the flexibility to design the book below, which documents the process in photos, quotes, and reflections. All the participants also had the opportunity to share the learning and process with the students’ families and the greater community of teachers of Doha College.
